IIMs conduct CAT annually to initiate the shortlisting process of MBA aspirants in different specialisations. As per the trends, the CAT 2023 is expected to be conducted on 26 November 2023 (the last Sunday of November). So the exam conducting authority can start the registration process and release the application form online tentatively by the first week of August 2023.

The candidates must fill out their CAT application cum registration form very carefully, as the authority will use these details for further communication. CAT Form will be released online by the conducting IIM, and the exam fees should be paid through the official portal.

There are three steps to complete the registration process for the CAT. First of all, candidates must visit the portal to complete registration and create login credentials. These CAT login details are required to complete the application form. After that, upload all the required documents and pay the exam fees to complete the process successfully.

CAT Registration Important Schedules

Candidates must be aware of all official schedules, from registration start and last date to other essential details.

Important Note: The entire process of CAT registration has 3 stages: Online registration in the official CAT portal, filling out the application form and uploading the required documents and paying exam fees.

Step 1: Online Registration

The candidates must visit the official website of IIM and complete the registration. For this, they need to mention some basic information, including name, date of birth, registered mail ID and phone number. After the successful CAT Registration, the authority will send a login ID to the registered email ID. Save it in a safe place for future reference.

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form and Upload the Documents

Visit the portal again and enter your login credentials to open your candidate profile on IIM CAT official website. Fill out all the required details, including your educational qualification, work experience and other relevant details, very carefully. After that, upload the scanned copy of all the required documents and submit them through the portal.

Step 3: Pay Exam Fees

After the successful submission of the CAT application form, the page will automatically be redirected to the payment page. Here, candidates need to pay the exam fees as per their category.

The fee structure for the CAT 2023 application form for General Category is INR 2300/- and for SC/ST/ PwD Category is INR 1150/-.

A Payment Successful message and the Payment Transaction Number will appear on the screen following a successful transaction. Candidates who successfully register will also receive a confirmation email.

CAT Form Correction

The exam conducting authority also facilitates the application form correction process for a certain period of time on its official website. It is an easy process, and the candidates can complete it through the official CAT website using the login details.

Candidates must note that there are some limitations in the CAT form editing facility offered by the authority, as you cannot make edits to your entire application form. The details which can be corrected (if required) are scanned photos and signatures.

Details like names, DOB and contact details cannot be changed once the CAT application form is submitted. So be very careful while filling out the CAT 2023 form.
